Abstract: Humans are social beings that need each other. Someone who suffer from neurological disease, stroke for instance are experiencing difficulty on speaking and moving their body which leads to communication problem. Stroke is a disease that affect all body parts such as having a cognitive paralysis, difficulty speaking, emotional unstable, feeling pain, and other problem on a daily basis. However, someone who suffer from stroke might still be able to move their eyes, therefore a communication device that based on biopotential in the eyes were made. Biopotentials are electrical signals or voltages that are generated by physiological processes occurring within the body. This electrical signal occured because there are electrochemical activity of a type of cell within human body. One example of biopotential that can be meassured is Electrooculography (EOG) or biopotential that can be found within the eye movement. EOG signal can be applied to send a message. The device were designed from instrumentation amplifier, Driven Right Leg (DRL) circuit, Band Pass Filter, Summing Amplifier, and Ag/AgCl electrode. The output will be processed with NodeMCU microcontroller to display the direction of the eyes on 16x2 LCD, given voice message as an indicator, and text message notification through mobile chat application (Line). Based on test, the range of the eye direction were captured for right direction are ranging from 1.34V - 1.37V, straight at 1.38V - 1.39V, and left at 1.41V - 1.44V. Subsequently the output will be processed with NodeMCU as a voice message indicator and Line app notification based on the combination that has been determined.
