Abstract: Dwi is a single mother who has to struggle to care of and raise her daughter, Sanny, who suffers from Down-Syndrome. Her husband left her and Sanny about three years ago because he is ashamed of having a Down-Syndrome child and thought that Sanny was a burden in their lives. Dwi works as a teacher in schools for children who have special needs. Day by day has passed, Dwi’s father is a retired soldier who is accustomed to discipline and calm, was troubled by Sanny who sometimes fussed and made noise at home. So that Dwi was forced to temporarily entrust Sanny to the orphanage in Semarang. But after a few days, Dwi realized that what she did was wrong even though it was a way she thought was good for Sanny. Finally, his father apologized to Dwi, and he regretted treating his granddaughter badly. Then, at the end if this story Sanny became an excellent child and Dwi also opened a foundation for Down-Syndrome children.
