Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dukungan sosial orang tua, kepercayaan diri, dan orientasi olahraga terhadap prestasi olahraga atlet. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian korelasional. Subjek penelitian adalah 86 atlet (meliputi: 46 wanita dan 40 pria) Pusat Pelatihan Olahraga Pelajar di Provinsi DKI Jakarta yang dipilih melalui teknik convenience sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan yaitu kuesioner data demografi, Skala Dukungan Sosial Orang Tua, Skala Kepercayaan Diri Atlet, dan Sport Orientation Questionnaire. Analisis data dengan teknik regresi linier (sederhana dan berganda) menunjukkan hasil sebagai berikut: (1) Dukungan sosial orang tua tidak berpengaruh terhadap prestasi olahraga atlet (|t-hitung| = 0,007 < t-tabel = 1,988); (2) Kepercayaan diri atlet tidak berpengaruh terhadap prestasi olahraga atlet (|t-hitung| = 0,377 < t-tabel = 1,988); (3) Orientasi olahraga atlet tidak berpengaruh terhadap prestasi olahraga atlet (t-hitung = 1,076 < t-tabel = 1,988); (4) Dukungan sosial orang tua, kepercayaan diri, dan orientasi olahraga secara simultan tidak berpengaruh terhadap prestasi olahraga atlet (F-hitung = 0,499 < F-tabel = 2,72).
This study aims to determine the effect of parental social support, sport-confidence, and sport orientation to the athlete’s sport achievement. The research method used a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. Research subjects were 86 athletes (including: 46 women and 40 man) of the Student Sport Training Center in DKI Jakarta Province that selected through convenience sampling techniques. Measuring instruments used were demographic data questionnaire, Parent Social Support Scale, Athlete’s Sport-confidence Scale and Sport Orientation Questionnaire. Data analysis using linear regression techniques (simple and multiple) showed the following results: (1) Parental social support had not an effect on athletes' sport achievement (|tcount| = 0,007 < ttable = 1,988); (2) The sport-confidence of the athlete does not influence the athlete's sport achievement (|tcount| = 0,377 < ttable = 1,988); (3) The sport orientation of the athlete does not influence the athlete's sport achievement (tcount = 1,076 < ttable = 1,988); (4 )Parental social support, sport-confidence, and sport orientation of athletes can not simultaneously effect athletes' sport achievement (Fcount = 0,499 < Ftable = 2,72).
