Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi terhadap efektivitas pelatihan berbasis E-Learning di masa pandemi Covid-19 yang dimoderasi oleh variabel trainee engagement. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan melakukan studi pada pelatihan jurnalistik dasar mahasiswa di Lembaga Pers Mahasiswa Scientiarum (LPM SA) dan Ascarya Journalistic Club (AJC). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta pelatihan jurnalistik dasar di LPM SA dan AJC sejumlah 77 orang dengan sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 33 orang yang diambil dengan cara Non Probability - Purposive Sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuesioner dengan data primer yang diolah menggunakan SmartPLS 3.0. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa motivasi berpengaruh terhadap efektivitas pelatihan berbasis E-Learning. Penelitian juga mendapati bahwa trainee engagement sebagai moderator mampu memoderasi dengan memperkuat pengaruh motivasi terhadap efektivitas pelatihan berbasis E-Learning.
This study aims to determine the effect of motivation on the effectiveness of E-Learning based training during the pandemic Covid-19 which is moderated by the variable trainee engagement. This research is quantitative research by conducting a study on the basic journalistic training of students at the Student Press Institute Scientiarum (LPM SA) and the Ascarya Journalistic Club (AJC). The population in this study were all participants of basic journalism training at LPM SA and AJC with a total of 77 people with 33 samples taken by means of Non Probability - Purposive Sampling. The research instrument used was a questionnaire with primary data which was processed using SmartPLS 3.0. The results of this study indicate that motivation has an effect on the effectiveness of based training E-Learning. The study also found that trainee engagement as a moderator was able to be moderate by strengthening the effect of motivation on the effectiveness of E-Learning based training.
