Title: Hubungan antara Dukungan Sosial dan Problem Focused Coping pada Mahasiswa Etnis Minahasa yang Sedang Mengerjakan Tugas Akhir

Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara dukungan sosial dan problem focused coping pada mahasiswa etnis Minahasa yang sedang mengerjakan tugas akhir. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling dengan karakteristik a). Mahasiswa aktif UKSW yang sedang mengerjakan tugas akhir, b). Mahasiswa yang terlibat aktif dalam komunitas Pinaesaan Salatiga. Jumlah partisipan sebanyak 90 mahasiswa. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan Multidimensional Social Perceived Support Scale (MSPSS) oleh Zimet, Dahlem, Zimet, & Farley (1988) yang berjumlah 12 pernyataan dan skala Problem Focused coping oleh Nur Dahlia Kadili (2018) yang disusun berdasarkan aspek yang dikemukakan oleh Folkman dan Lazarus (1984) yang berjumlah 36 pernyataan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data menunjukkan hasil koefisien korelasi 0,270 dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,010 (p<0,05) yang artinya terdapat hubungan positif antara dukungan sosial dan problem focused coping pada mahasiswa etnis Minahasa yang sedang mengerjakan tugas akhir. Dengan kata lain semakin tinggi dukungan sosial yang dimiliki oleh individu maka problem focused coping pada mahasiswa etnis Minahasa yang sedang mengerjakan tugas akhir juga akan tinggi.
This study aims to determine whether there is a correlation between social support and problem focused coping on ethnic Minahasa students who are working on their final project. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling with characteristics a). SWCU students who are working on their final project, b). Students who are involved in the Salatiga Pinaesaan community. The number of participants is 90 students. Data collection was carried out using the Multidimensional Social Perceived Support Scale (MSPSS) by Zimet, Dahlem, Zimet, & Farley (1988) which amounted to 12 items and the Problem Focused coping scale by Nur Dahlia Kadili (2018) which was compiled based on the aspects proposed by Folkman and Lazarus (1984) which amounted to 36 items. Based on the results of data analysis shows the correlation coefficient of 0.270 with a significance value of 0.010 (p <0.05), which means that there is a positive relationship between social support and problem focused coping on ethnic Minahasa students who are working on their final project. In other words, the higher the social support possessed by the individual, the higher the problem focused coping for ethnic Minahasa students who are working on their final project will also be.
