Pengaruh Koneksi Politik dan Corporate Social Responsibility terhadap Agresivitas Pajak

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh koneksi politik dan corporate social responsibility (CSR) perusahaan terhadap agresivitas pajak di Indonesia. Sampel yang diambil dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 243 perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada tahun 2017 hingga 2019. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa koneksi politik berpengaruh negatif terhadap agresivitas pajak. Koneksi politik tidak dimanfaatkan oleh komisaris independen untuk mengurangi beban pajak perusahaan. Namun demikian, pengujian untuk corporate social responsibility (CSR) menunjukan bahwa CSR berpengaruh signifikan terhadap agresivitas pajak. Semakin luas pengungkapan aktivitas CSR maka semakin besar tingkat agresivitas pajak yang dilakukan perusahaan.

This research aims to examine the effect of political connections and corporate social responsibility (CSR) of manufacturing companies on the tax aggressiveness in Indonesia. The sample of this research has been taken from 243 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2017 to 2019. The data collection technique used the purposive sampling method. The results of this research indicate that political connections can harm tax aggressiveness. The political connections were not used by the independent commissioners to reduce the company’s tax burden. However, the results of the testing on corporate social responsibility (CSR) show that CSR has a significant effect on the tax aggressiveness.
