Abstract: Produktifitas sawi pakcoy lebih optimal bila ditanam pada tanah yang subur. Pemberian biochar mampu meningkatkan kesuburan di dalam tanah. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian biochar terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi pakcoy. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian dan Bisnis Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana yang berlokasi di Salaran, Desa Wates, Kecamatan Getasan, Kabupaten Semarang pada bulan Maret hingga April 2019. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan tujuh perlakuan dan empat ulangan. Dosis biochar sebagai perlakuan adalah 1. Kontrol (P0); 2. Biochar 5 ton/ha (P1); 3. Biochar 10 ton/ha (P2); 4. Biochar 15 ton/ha (P3); 5. Biochar 20 ton/ha (P4); 6. Biochar 25 ton/ha (P5) dan 7. Biochar 30 ton/ha (P6). Analisis data menggunakan Analisis Sidik Ragam (ANOVA) dan uji Beda Nyata Jujur (BNJ). Hasil penelitian menunjukan pemberian biochar 20 ton/ha mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi pakcoy, dimana pada pemberian biochar 20 ton/ha terjadi peningkatan jumlah daun (10.43 helai), luas daun (26.07 gram), berat segar akar (1.96 gram), berat keringakar (1.34 gram), berat segar tanaman (8.40 gram), berat kering tanaman (1.34 gram), dan hasil panen per hektarnya sebesar 1,58 ton/ha.
Pakcoy productivity is more optimal when planted on fertile soil. Provision of biochar can increase fertility in the soil. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of biochar administration on the growth and yield of Pakcoy mustard plants. The study was conducted in the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture and Business at Satya Wacana Christian University, located in Salaran, Wates Village, Getasan District, Semarang Regency from March to April 2019. The experimental design used was a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with seven treatments and four replications. . The biochar dose as treatment is 1. Control (P0); 2. Biochar 5 tons / ha (P1); 3. Biochar 10 tons / ha (P2); 4. Biochar 15 tons / ha (P3); 5. Biochar 20 tons / ha (P4); 6. Biochar 25 tons / ha (P5) and 7. Biochar 30 tons / ha (P6). Data analysis used Analysis of Variance Analysis (ANOVA) and Honestly Significant Difference test (BNJ). The results showed the administration of biochar 20 tons / ha could increase the growth and yield of mustard pakcoy plants, where in the administration of biochar 20 tons / ha an increase in the number of leaves (10.43 strands), leaf area (26.07 grams), fresh weight of roots (1.96 grams), root dry weight (1.34 gram), plant fresh weight (8.40 gram), plant dry weight (1.34 gram), and yield per hectare of 1.58 tons / ha.
