Abstract: Mangongkal Holi is a tradition to respect the ancestors by moving the bones into a higher place called batu na pir. Within the tradition, there are three philosophies that possessed the tradition, which are Hamoraon (wealth), Hagabeon (descendant), and Hasangapon (honor). Understanding both the tradition and Hasangapon for the first time, there might be some misinterpretation where Hasangapon in Mangongkal Holi is happening because of certain circumstances and not to pay respect to the ancestors. In this research, there will be a short story fiction that consists of 5000 to 6000 words that uncover the real meaning of Mangongkal Holi. Using data from libraries, the internet, interviews with raja adat (the elder), former suhut (the owner of the party), and participant of Mangongkal Holi, along with the theory of the bourgeoisie from Marxist approach, this research wants to know if the tradition is happening just because the owner of the tradition wants to be acknowledged by society. Thinking that way, and the answer is simply no. It is because the tradition does possess an understanding where Hasangapon is an act to pay respect to what the ancestors had done before to make their descendants successful, and so to remember the ancestors, the families do Mangongkal Holi.
