Responden juga perlu melakukan Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a degenerative disease characterized by hyperglycemia. The amount of DM sufferers globally continues to increase. One of the factors causing the increase in DM is the pattern of overeating which is influenced by the level of knowledge. A person with an excessive eating pattern is at risk of having excess nutritional status, and the impact on increasing blood sugar levels. The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between nutritional knowledge, dietary, and nutritional status in patients with type 2 diabetes at the Ngoresan Public Health Center, Surakarta. This study used an analytic observational design with a cross sectional approach. The study was conducted in January 2021 – May 2021. The sample was patients with DM who met the inclusion criteria, namely 31 people. The types of data used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data includes respondent characteristics, knowledge, anthropometry, daily adequacy and respondent’s dietary. While secondary data was obtained from the respondent’s medical record data. In the results of the study, it was concluded that there was no relationship between knowledge and glucose levels in respondents, with p value = 0.820. In addition, there is also no relationship between the nutritional status of respondents to glucose levels with p value = 0.997. The respondent’s dietary needs to apply the 3J principle (amount, type, schedule) and increase fiber intake. Respondents also need to do physical activity regularly in order that blood glucose levels remain normal. |
