Title: Kadar Lemak Tubuh Berkorelasi Negatif dengan Durasi Apnea

Abstract: Latar belakang: Kemampuan apnea merupakan faktor penentu utama performa freedive. Apnea berkaitan dengan risiko-risiko fisiologis yang mungkin dialami seorang freediver saat melakukan penyelaman, sehingga kemampuan apnea dimungkinkan berkorelasi dengan banyak faktor fisiologis manusia. Salah satu faktor yang diduga memiliki korelasi dengan durasi apnea adalah kadar lemak tubuh. Lemak terdistribusi hampir di seluruh bagian tubuh, termasuk di sekitar saluran dan organ pernapasan sehingga muncul dugaan bahwa penumpukan lemak ada korelasinya dengan kemampuan apnea. Tujuan: Penelitian ini mempelajari tentang korelasi kadar lemak tubuh dengan durasi apnea. Metode: Penelitian dilakukan pada pada laki-laki berusia 18-22 tahun sebanyak 30 orang. Kadar lemak tubuh diukur menggunakan Bioelectrical Impedance Analyzer sedangkan durasi apnea diukur melalui lamanya menahan napas dengan posisi duduk diam di dalam kolam renang. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dilakukan uji normalitas, uji korelasi dan uji regresi linier. Hasil: Uji korelasi pearson menunjukkan adanya korelasi negatif (p<0,05). Koefisien korelasi bernilai -0,611 berarti arah korelasi negatif dengan kekuatan sedang. Hasil uji regresi linier juga menunjukkan adanya korelasi dengan koefisien korelasi 0,611 yang selaras dengan hasil uji korelasi pearson. Koefisien determinasi (R Square) diperoleh nilai 0,374 (37,4%). Dapat ditafsirkan bahwa kadar lemak tubuh memiliki kontribusi pengaruh sebesar 37,4% terhadap durasi apnea, sedangkan 62,6% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain selain kadar lemak tubuh.
Apnea ability is a major determinant of freedive performance. Apnea is related to the physiological risks that may be experienced by a freediver while diving, so that the ability of apnea is likely to be correlated with many human physiological factors. One of the factors thought to have a correlation with the duration of apnea is body fat levels. This study studied the correlation of body fat levels with the duration of apnea among male aged 18-22 years old. Body Fat levels were measured using a Bio-Impedance Analyzer, while the duration of apnea was measured by holding breath and sitting still in a swimming pool. Pearson correlation test results showed a negative correlation (p <0.05). The correlation coefficient is -0.611,which means the direction of the correlation is negative with moderate strength. The results of the linear regression test also show a correlation with a correlation coefficient of 0.611 which is in line with the results of the Pearson correlation test. The coefficient of determination (R Square) obtained a value of 0.374 (37.4%). It can be interpreted that body fat levels have an influence contribution of 37.4% to the duration of apnea, while the other 62.6% are influenced by factors other than body fat levels
