Abstract: Keragaman jenis kumbang pada suatu ekosistem menjadikan kumbang dapat digunakan sebagai bioindikator keseimbangan ekosistem tersebut. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui jenis famili kumbang permukaan tanah yang terdapat di Hutan Kota Bendosari, kota Salatiga serta mengetahui keanekaragaman hayati kumbangnya. Teknik pengambilan sampel kumbang menggunakan perangkap sumuran (pitfall-trap) pada 10 zona dimana setiap zonanya memiliki komposisi pohon yang berbeda. Pengambilan sampel kumbang dilakukan 2x12 jam (pada pukul 6.00 dan 18.00) setiap dua minggu sekali selama dua bulan. Identifikasi morfofamili dilakukan di Laboratorium Proteksi Tanaman Fakultas Pertanian dan Bisnis Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana. Hasil identifikasi sampel kumbang diperoleh dua sub ordo (sub ordo Adephaga dan sub ordo Polyphaga) yang meliputi 11 famili (16 morfofamili) dan 416 individu. Berdasarkan waktu pengambilan sampel, morfofamili kumbang memiliki indeks kekayaan sebesar 2,11-2,21, indeks kemerataan sebesar 0,62-0,86, dan indeks keanekaragaman sebesar 1,28-1,89. Berdasarkan zona pengambilan sampel, morfofamili kumbang memiliki indeks kekayaan sebesar 1,13-2,20; indeks kemerataan sebesar 0,72-0,89; serta indeks keanekaragaman sebesar 1,28-1,97. Indeks kekayaan, indeks kemerataan, dan indeks keanekaragaman morfofamili kumbang termasuk ke dalam kategori rendah.
The diversity of beetle species in an ecosystem makes beetles can be used as bioindicators of the balance of the ecosystem. This research was conducted to determine the morphofamily of ground beetle that found in the Bendosari City Forest, Salatiga City and to determine biodiversity of beetles in there. The sampling technique was used pitfall-trap that placed at 10 zones where each zone had a different tree growth composition. Sampling of beetles was took out 2x12 hours (at 6.00 and 18.00) in every two weeks during two months. The identification was carried out at the Plant Protection Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture and Business, Satya Wacana Christian University. . The results of the identification of beetle samples obtained two sub orders (Adephaga sub order and Polyphaga sub order) which include 11 families (16 morphofamilies) and 416 individuals. Based on the time of sampling, the beetle morphofamily had a morphofamily richness index of 2,11-2,21; an evenness index of 0,62-0,86; and a diversity index of 1,28-1,89. Based on the sampling zone, the beetle morphofamily had a morphofamili richness index of 1,13-2,20; evenness index of 0,72-0,89; and diversity index of 1,28-1,97. Morphofamily richness, evenness index, and beetle diversity index were stated in the low category.
