Currently, sustainable aquaculture is being encouraged by the KKP through strategies, policies and programs in order to support and be part of development in realizing Indonesia as the world's maritime axis. This is in line with the vision and mission of the Working Cabinet, which is to make the sea a source of the nation's economy with its potential. One of the aquaculture commodities that is currently under the KKP's attention is seaweed aquaculture, this is because seaweed cultivation is relatively cheap, easy and can absorb a lot of labor and in 2018-2019 this commodity increased and made Indonesia ranked 2nd as a seaweed producing country in the world.
