Abstract: | Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model Problem Based Learning dan model Discovery Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas 5 SD. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan pretest-posttest control grup design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas 5A dan 5B SD Negeri Suruh 01. Kelas 5A dengan jumlah 24 siswa merupakan kelas eksperimen dan kelas 5B dengan jumlah 23 siswa merupakan kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data menggunakan pretest-posttest soal dan lembar observasi. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial parametrik dengan bantuan SPSS 25 for windows. Hasil nilai pretest thitung (0,826) > ttabel (0,05) dan hasil posttest observasi thitung (0,689) > ttabel (0,05) menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Hasil nilai posttest thitung (0,033) < ttabel (0,05) dan hasil posttest observasi thitung (0,006) < ttabel (0,05) menunjukkan ada perbedaan signifikan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan analisis data, disimpulkan bahwa model Problem Based Learning berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas 5 SD. This study aims to determine the effect in implementation of the Problem Based Learning models and Discovery Learning models of 5th graders to the critical thinking skills. This type of research is a quasi experiment study with the pretest-posttest control group design. The study subjects were students of the grade 5A and 5B SD Negeri Suruh 01. 5A with a total of 24 students is an experimental class and 5B with a total of 23 students being control class. Data collection using pretest-posttest problem and observation sheet. The data analysis uses descriptive and inferential parametric statistics with SPSS 25 for windows program. pretests tcount (0.826) > ttable (0.05) and the results of observation posttest tcount (0.689) > ttable (0.05) indicating the absence of students critical thinking differences. The posttest result of critical thinking earn tcount (0.033) < ttable (0.05) and the results of the observation posttest tcount (0.006) < ttable (0.05) indicating there is a significant differences of students critical thinking ability. Experimental class are higher than the control class. Based on data analysis, it was concluded that the Problem Based Learning model has significant effect on the critical thinking skills of grade 5th. |
