Abstract: Skripsi ini membahas tentang upaya Provinsi Papua dalam mengatasi narcotics trafficking di wilayah perbatasan Republik Indonesia-Papua New Guinea Tahun 2018-2021 studi kasus : kampung Skofro. Penelitian ini menggunakam menggunakan Teori Sekuritisasi, Konsep Keamanan Nasional dan Konsep Kejahatan Transnasional. Pada penelitian ini teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kualitatif serta menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif, dengan menggunakan studi literatur yang bisa didapat dari berbagai sumber seperti wawancara, buku, artikel, jurnal dokumen publikasi pemerintah, surat kabar, situs resmi hingga lembaga. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat beberapa upaya yang dilakukan oleh Provinsi Papua diantaranya pembangunan Pos Terpadu Custom, Immigration, Quarantine, Security (CIQS), kerjasama dengan kepala kampung dalam proses pengamanan, sosialisasi kepada warga kampung, dan menjalin hubungan kerja sama dengan negara Papua New Guinea namun terdapat beberapa tantangan antara lain kurangnya respon dari Pemerintah Papua New Guinea terkait pembangunan Pos Lintas Batas (PLB), banyaknya jalan setapak/jalan tikus, kurangnya pengawasan di pintu masuk kawasan perbatasan, dan masih banyak gerakan separatis yang masih aktif di wilayah perbatasan
This thesis discusses the efforts of the Papuan Provincial Government in overcoming narcotics trafficking in the border region of the Republic of Indonesia-Papua New Guinea in 2018-2021 case study: Skofro village. This study uses the Securitization Theory, the concept of National Security and the concept of Transnational Crime. In this study, the data collection technique used qualitative and descriptive research, using literature studies that could be obtained from various sources such as interviews, books, articles, government publications, newspapers, official websites and institutions. The results of this study are that there are several efforts made by the Papuan Provincial Government including the construction of the Custom Integrated Post, Immigration, Quarantine, Security (CIQS), cooperation with village heads in the security process, socialization to villagers, and establishing cooperative relations with the Papuan state. New Guinea, but there are several challenges, including the lack of response from the Government of Papua New Guinea regarding the construction of the Transboundary Post (PLB), the number of footpaths/rat trails, the lack of supervision at the entrance to the border area, and there are still many separatist movements that are still active in the border areas.
