Abstract: Gandum merupakan tanaman pangan yang sering digunakan untuk olahanpangan masyarakat Indonesia dan menjadi peluang bisnis pertanian yang menjanjikan. Pada tahun 2020 Pusat Studi Gandum FPB-UKSW telah melakukan penelitian tentang penanaman jenis gandum Australia di Kebun Percobaan Sanghrila FPBUKSW. Hasil dari penelitian tersebut masih belum mencapai keseragaman hasil yang baik, yaitu didapatkan Genotipe 1, 1a, 2, 2a. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini melanjutkan untuk mengetahui persentase baris tanaman yang memiliki visual yang sama dengan gandum Australia Genotipe 1 penelitian 2020 dan pencirian morfologi kembali untuk karakter yang lebih spesifik dengan metode seleksi “Spike to Row”, pencirian karakter UPOV 2016, dan RHS Colour. Hasil yang didapatkan yaitu, persentase baris tanaman yang memiliki kesamaan visual morfologi dengan Genotip 1 penelitian 2020/lolos seleksi 1,59%. Persentase baris yang tidak lolos seleksi 0,04%. Tanaman yang mati, tidak tumbuh, dan hilang materi genetiknya sebanyak 98,37%. Hasil pencirian karakter UPOV 2016, baris tanaman yang lolos seleksi memiliki arah tumbuh tanaman sedikit tegak, bentuk profil malai sisi sejajar, lebar bahu spikelet sempit, bentuk bahu spikelet sedikit miring, panjang paruh spikelet panjang, dan bentuk paruh spikelet sedikit melengkung. Untuk uji warna RHS Colour, baris tanaman yang lolos seleksi memiliki warna malai tua kuning pucat (Greyed-Yellow 160 A, 160 B, 160 C), warna biji cokelat tua (Greyed Orange 164C).
Wheat is a food crop that is often used for food processing by the Indonesian people and this opportunity can be used as a promising agricultural business. In 2020 the FPB-SWCU Wheat Study Center conducted research on planting Australian wheat at the FPB-SWCU Sanghrila Experimental Garden. The results of this study still have not achieved good uniformity of results, namely genotypes 1, 1a, 2, 2a were obtained. Therefore, this study continued to determine the percentage of plant rows that had the same visual appearance as the 2020 study Australian wheat Genotype 1 and morphological characterization again for more specific characters using the “Spike to Row” selection method, UPOV 2016 character traits, and RHS Color. The results obtained were, the percentage of plant rows that had similar visual morphology to the 2020 Genotype 1 study/passed the selection 1.59%. The percentage of rows that did not pass the selection was 0.04%. Plants that died, did not grow, and lost their genetic material were 98.37%. The results of characterizing the UPOV 2016 character, the rows of plants that passed the selection had a slightly upright plant growth direction, parallel side panicle profile shape, narrow spikelet shoulder width, slightly tilted spikelet shoulder shape, long spikelet beak length, and slightly curved spikelet beak shape. For the RHS Color test, the rows of plants that passedthe selection had a pale yellow panicle color (Greyed-Yellow 160 A, 160 B, 160 C), the color of the seeds was dark brown (Greyed Orange 164C).
