Abstract: | Salah satu faktor penentu keberhasilan stek batang sirih merah (Piper Crocatum Ruiz) adalah media tanam yang digunakan untuk menumbuhkan akar dan tunas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komposisi media tanam terhadap pertumbuhan akar, tunas, dan tinggi bibit sirih merah serta menentukan jenis media tanam yang paling mendukung pertumbuhan akar dan tunas sirih merah. Penelitian dilakukan melalui eksperimen dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok, terdiri dari 6 jenis media tanam dan masing-masing ulangan sebanyak empat kali. Perlakuannya adalah 1. Pasir, 2. Tanah, 3. Arang sekam, 4. Tanah + Arang sekam, 5. Tanah + Pasir, 6. Arang sekam + Pasir. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan Analisis Variabel dan dilanjutkan dengan uji DMRT pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komposisi media tanam stek batang sirih merah berpengaruh terhadap suhu tanah, kelembaban tanah, N tersedia, panjang akar, jumlah tunas dan tinggi tunas. Jenis media tanam yang paling mendukung pertumbuhan akar, tunas dan tinggi tanaman stek batang sirih merah adalah media tanam arang sekam. One of the determining factors for the success of red betel (Piper Crocatum Ruiz) stem cuttings is the growing medium used to grow roots and shoots. This study aims to determine the effect composition planting media on the growth of roots, shoots, and height of red betel seedlings and determine the type of planting media that best supports the growth of red betel roots and shoots. The research was conducted through experiments using a Randomized Block Design, consisting of 6 types of planting media and each replicated four times. The treatments were 1. Sand, 2. Soil, 3. Husk Charcoal, 4. Soil + Husk Charcoal, 5. Soil + Sand, 6. Husk Charcoal + Sand. The research data were analyzed using Variable Analysis and continued with the DMRT test at the 5% level. The results showed that the composition growing medium for red betel stem cuttings affected soil temperature, soil moisture, available N, root length, number of shoots and shoot height. The type of planting media that best supports the growth of roots, shoots and plant height of red betel stem cuttings is husk charcoal planting media. |
