Abstract: Jalan Diponegoro Kota Salatiga merupakan jalan dengan kepadatan kendaraan serta aktifitas masyarakat yang tinggi. Pohon yang terletak pada Jalan Diponegoro Kota Salatiga berperan sebagai penyaring polusi udara terutama debu yang berterbangan serta sebagai peneduh bagi pejalan kaki dari teriknya matahari. Berdasarkan peranan pohon pada lanskap Jalan Diponegoro Kota Salatiga, hendaknya perlu diperhatikan kesehatannya. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah menginventarisasi serta mengevaluasi kesehatan pohon yang terdapat pada Jalan Diponegoro Kota Salatiga. Penelitian kesehatan pohon dilakukan dengan cara analisis kapasitas jerapan debu pada pohon dan metode Forest Health Monitoring (FHM). Penelitian kapasitas jerapan debu dilakukan dengan cara mengambil sampel daun tiap jenis pohon, kemudian dilakukan analisis di Laboratorium Fakultas Pertanian dan Bisnis Uiversitas Kristen Satya Wacana. Sedangkan metode Forest Health Monitoring dilakukan dengan pengamatan secara langsung pada seluruh bagian pohon. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa terdapat sebanyak 175 pohon yang diantaranya 170 pohon dengan status hidup dan 5 pohon dengan ststus mati. Hasil analisis jerapan debu terbesar pada pohon pada kawasan tersebut adalah pohon saga pada zona 1, yaitu 16,246 mg/cm2 pada pagi hari dan 14,737 mg/cm2 pada siang hari. Untuk hasil pengamatan Forest Health Monitoring terdapat jenis 9 kerusakan antara lain; kanker, heart rot, tubuh buah, indikator lain lapuk lanjut, luka terbuka, batang patah (kurang dari 0,91), malformasi, akar patah atau mati, cabang patah atau mati, daun rusak, dan daun berubah warna. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian ini, direkomendasikan untuk menanam pohon saga sebagai pohon penjerap debu serta dilakukannya tindakan pemeliharaan pohon sebanyak 144 (jumlah dari kerusakan ringan dan sedang) pohon.
Diponegoro Street, Salatiga City is a road with a high density of vehicles and community activities. The tree, which is located on Diponegoro Street, Salatiga City, acts as a filter for air pollution, especially flying dust and as a shade for pedestrians from the hot sun. Based on the role of trees in the landscape of Diponegoro Street, Salatiga City, it is necessary to pay attention to their health. The purpose of this research is to inventory and evaluate the health of trees found on Diponegoro Street, Salatiga City. Tree health research was conducted by analyzing the dust sorption capacity of trees and the Forest Health Monitoring (FHM) method. The research on the dust absorption capacity was carried out by taking a leaf sample of each tree species, then analyzing it at the Satya Wacana Christian University Faculty of Agriculture and Business Laboratory. While the Forest Health Monitoring method is carried out by direct observation on all parts of the tree. The results of the study explained that there were 175 trees, of which 170 were alive and 5 were dead. The results of the analysis of the largest dust absorption on trees in the area were saga trees in zone 1, namely 16,246 mg/cm2 in the morning and 14,737 mg/cm2 in the afternoon. For the results of the Forest Health Monitoring observations, there are 9 types of damage, including; cancer, heart rot, fruiting bodies, other indicators of advanced weathering, open wounds, broken stems (less than 0.91), malformations, broken or dead roots, broken or dead branches, damaged leaves, and discolored leaves. Based on the results of this study, it is recommended to plant saga trees as dust trapping trees and carry out tree maintenance actions as many as 144 (sum of light and moderate damage) trees.
