Abstract: The impact of an earthquake is not only economical but can also cause psychological impacts in the form of Post Traumatic Syndrome Disorder (PTSD). However, every individual has the resilience to the exposure to traumatic events that befall him to be used to build the coping mechanism for future traumatic events. The method used in this research is a quantitative correlation. The selection of respondents in this study used a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques used in this research are Resilience Questionnaires and PTSD Checklist-Civilian version (PCL-C) questionnaires. The study's results based on the correlation coefficient test found a significant value of 0,331. Statistically, if the p-value > 0,05, then there is no relationship. So it can be concluded that there is no relationship between the incidence of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and resilience in people living in earthquake-prone areas.
