Title: Corona Virus : Deskripsi Genom, Fungsi dan Struktur Protein
Authors: Mokalu, Maria
Keywords: COVID-19;karakteristik SARS-CoV-2
Issue Date: 11-Aug-2022
COVID-19 is an outbreak of a respiratory disease that was first reported in the city of Wuhan,China at the end of December 2019. On April 29, 2022, it was discovered that the current situation with the development of CORONAVIRUS DISEASE (COVID-19) confirmed 509.531,232 cases with a death toll of 6,230,357 cases ( Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, 2022). This study uses a literature review method. Journals are obtained through open access journals using the keywords "characteristics", "characteristics", and "COVID- 19". The journals used there are 6 journals out of 33 based on the appropriate topic. The journals obtained will be summarized based on the most relevant to the topic afterit isreviewed and entered into a matrix column then compared with other journals. The S protein in SARS- CoV-2 produces G614 which apparently causes the virus to become more infectious. The stronger ability of the virus to infect host cells and adapt to the human environment makes thevirus have a major impact on the health of the entire community globally because it attacks human organs such as the lungs, heart and kidneys which can be fatal, namely death. In COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2 has an S protein (Spike Envelope) that interacts with the ACE2 receptor on human cells. ACE2 (Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2) is an important component of the RAAS (Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone System) as a regulator of blood volume and systemic vascular resistance. In addition to the characteristics of SARS-CoV-2, it is known thatthe environment also has an important role in the incidence of COVID-19, namely wind speed, air quality, temperature, and humidity which can affect the increase in the incidence of COVID-19.
