This study aims to determine the relationship between self efficacy and anxiety in students who are working on a thesis. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is a negative relationship between self efficacy and anxiety in students who are working on their thesis. Participants in this study amounted to 218 students of the Faculty of Psychology, Satya Wacana Christian University through accidental sampling technique. Data was collected using an online questionnaire in the form of Google Form. Self Efficacy measured using the General Self Efficacy (GSE) by Matthias Jerusalem and Ralf Schwarzer (1979) and the Anxiety variable was measured using the STAI Anxiety Scale form YI by Spielberger (1972). The results showed that there was a negative correlation between self efficacy and anxiety in students who were working on their thesis, meaning that the higher the self efficacy, the lower the anxiety in students working on the thesis, and vice versa. |
