Abstract: Kawasan Asia Tenggara adalah kawasan yang memiliki letak dan posisi yang strategis sehingga menjadi sebuah keuntungan bagi kawasan ini. Sehingga tidak heran banyak kekuatan dunia yang berusaha untuk memiliki pengaruh di kawasan ini, salah satunya China. Pada era pemerintahan Presiden Xi Jinping, China luncurkan sebuah proyek raksasa lintas darat dan laut yang bernama Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) yang melintasi 3 benua. and Road Initiative yang dibagi ke dalam dua inisiatif utama yaitu, The Silk Road Economic Belt dan The 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. Pada dasarnya kebijakan ini merupakan upaya China untuk membangun konektivitas antara negara dan benua melalui pembangunan infrastruktur darat maupun laut. Kawasan Asia Tenggara menjadi salah satu mitra kerja sama BRI, khususnya dalam jalur laut atau dikenal dengan The 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. Tulisan kemudian akan berfokus pada kebijakan The 21st Century Maritime Silk Road di Kawasan Asia Tenggara yang kemudian akan dianalisis menggunakan perspektif Geopolitik Maritim Mahan dan konsep Kepentingan Nasional. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan memperoleh data melalui studi literatur. Hasil yang kemudian ingin dicapai adalah mengidentifikasi geopolitik maritim China dalam Kebijakan The 21st Century Maritime Silk Road di Kawasan Asia Tenggara dari sudut pandang geopolitik maritim.
The Southeast Asian is a region that has a strategic location and position so that it becomes an advantage for this region. There’s world power are trying to have influence in this region, one of which is China. During the reign of President Xi Jinping, China launched a giant cross-land and sea project called the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) that crosses 3 continents. BRI is divided into two main initiatives namely, The Silk Road Economic Belt and The 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. Basically, this policy is China's effort to build connectivity between countries and continents through land and sea infrastructure development. The Southeast Asia region is one of BRI's cooperation partners, especially in the sea route or known as The 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. The paper will be focus on the policy of The 21st Century Maritime Silk Road in the Southeast Asian Region which will be analyzed using the perspective of the Mahan Maritime Geopolitics and the concept of National Interest. The research was conducted using qualitative methods by obtaining data through literature studies. The result to be achieved is to identify China's maritime geopolitics in The 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Policy in southeast Asia from the point of view of maritime geopolitics.
