This study aim to test the effect of political connection on cost of debt. This study focuses on manufacturer firm registered on IDX during period of 2017-2019. The hypothesis test results political connection gives a negative impact to cost of debt which means that political connected firm has lower cost of debt. The lower risk of debt means that the risk on the firm is lower than those not politically connected. We also tests control variable, firm that registered on IDX longer and audited by Big 4 auditing firm has lower cost of debt. However, on control variable test firm size doesn’t affect the cost of debt. |
