Abstract: It is believed that the success of students learning the great part is influenced by the teacher‟s professionalism. This implies that the more professional a teacher is the greater chance he owns to help his students to succeed in the subject matter he teaches. On the contrary, the less professional the teacher is the less possibility he possesses to help his students to succeed in it. That is why professional teacher to carry out teaching profession is needed. Professionalism of a teacher may be developed through various activities. One of them is by and through classroom action research (CAR). There are some characteristics of classroom action research that may become potential to develop teacher professionalism. This paper tries to explore the possibilities of developing teacher professionalism by and through classroom action research (CAR).
