Abstract: | Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) telah ditetapkan World Health Organization (WHO) sebagai pandemi global. Adanya Covid-19 berimbas kepada seluruh sektor kehidupan masyarakat salah satunya sektor perekonomian. Dampak dari adanya pandemi Covid-19 ialah Pemutusan Hubungan Kerja (PHK) yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan. Hal ini terjadi dikarenakan adanya penurunan jumlah produksi perusahaan yang berdampak pada pendapatan perusahaan itu sendiri. Sekitar lebih dari 3,5juta tenaga kerja terkena Pemutusan Hubungan Kerja (PHK) selama pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui secara mendalam tentang coping strategy yang digunakan oleh tenaga kerja pasca Pemutusan Hubungan Kerja (PHK). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan metode atau pendekatan analisis deskriptif, informan dalam penelitian ini merupakan lima orang tenaga kerja yang terkena PHK selama pandemic Covid-19. Dari hasil temuan di lapangan, bahwa strategi bertahan hidup yang dilakukan oleh tenaga kerja pasca Pemutusan Hubungan Kerja (PHK) yaitu: 1. Strategi aktif, dengan cara melakukan diversifikasi usaha dimana tenaga kerja melakukan pekerjaan lain/ membuka usaha untuk mendaptkan penghasilan. 2. Strategi pasif, dengan cara mengatur pengeluaran kebutuhan keluarga seminimal mungkin dan hidup dengan apadanya. 3. Strategi jaringan, memanfaatkan relasi antar keluarga dan kelompok-kelompok sosial yang berada dilingkungan tempat tinggal. Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) has been declared by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a global pandemic. The existence of Covid-19 has an impact on all sectors of people's lives, one of which is the economic sector. The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic is Termination of Employment (PHK) carried out by the company. This is due to a decrease in the number of company production which has an impact on the company's own income. More than 3.5 million workers have been laid off during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to find out in depth the coping strategies used by workers after Termination of Employment (PHK). This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive analysis method or approach, the informants in this study were five workers who were laid off during the Covid-19 pandemic. From the findings in the field, the survival strategies carried out by workers after Termination of Employment (PHK) are: 1. Active strategies, by diversifying businesses where workers do other jobs/open businesses to earn income. 2. Passive strategy, by managing the expenditure of family needs to a minimum and living with it. 3. Network strategy, utilizing relationships between families and social groups in the neighborhood. |
