Abstract: TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) and PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) modulation techniques are important parts of digital transmission systems. In lectures, two techniques are studied in communication systems courses. That Learning is only limited to the theoretical explanation of the technique. both of these techniques will be easier to understand if students can see the TDM and PCM processes directly by using teaching aids that can describe each of these processes. TDM-PCM teaching aids are made with various kinds of electronic circuits. There are 2 input channels and 2 output channels available for use in this teaching aid. The sampling frequency values on the teaching aids are designed to be varied. The application of PCM and TDM can be seen through this teaching aid. In addition, the application of the nyquist requirements, the way the SIPO, PISO and LPF (Low Pass Filter) shift registers can be seen and studied. With input in the form of DC signals, PCM techniques in this tool can produce digital data in accordance with the theory and formula. In testing with analog signals this tool can display the output signal quite well. This can be seen from the THD Meter value which can reach a value of 10%. The two channels provided can also be used to process two signals at once even though the two signals have different characteristics. Teaching aids that have been designed get a good response by students. Student questionnaire results can reach a value of 81.25%. This value is quite good and indicates props can help in lecturing.
