Abstract: Ketangguhan mental dibutuhkan untuk mampu membawa organisasi bertahan melewati masa krisis. Ketangguhan mental adalah konstruksi psikologis yang mampu membentuk individu menjadi seseorang untuk berkinerja dengan baik dan percaya diri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-esteem dan persepsi inklusi terhadap ketangguhan mental, pengaruh ketangguhan mental terhadap kinerja kompetitif, dan pengaruh coaching sebagai pemoderasi antara self-esteem terhadap ketangguhan mental dan antara persepsi inklusi dengan ketangguhan mental. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksplanatori kuantitatif, dengan pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner dan teknik judgemental sampling kepada para supervisor/manajer yang bekerja di bidang perhotelan di area Jawa dan Bali. Untuk jumlah responden yang terkumpul adalah 174 responden. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis SEM-PLS dengan memanfaatkan program SmartPLS 3.0. Hasil pengujian menunjukan bahwa ada pengaruh signifikan antara self-esteem dan persepsi inklusi terhadap ketangguhan mental, serta ketangguhan mental memiliki pengaruh terhadap kineja kompetitif. Temuan lain menunjukkan bahwa coaching tidak berperan sebagai pemoderasi hubungan antara self-esteem dengan ketangguhan mental. Namun, coaching berperan sebagai pemoderasi terhadap hubungan antara persepsi inklusi dengan ketangguhan mental.
Mental toughness is needed by the organization for surviving the crisis. It is a psychological construction that is able to shape an individual in becoming someone that can perform well and be confident. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of self-esteem and perceived inclusion on mental toughness, the effect of mental toughness on competitive performance, and the effect of coaching as a moderator between self-esteem and mental toughness and between perceived inclusion and mental toughness. This research is quantitative explanatory research, with data collection using a questionnaire and judgmental sampling technique for the supervisors/managers that work in the hospitality industry in Java and Bali areas. The number of respondents was 174. This hypothesis was analyzed using SEM-PLS analysis technique by utilizing the SmartPLS 3.0 program. The findings show that there is a significant relationship between self-esteem and perceived inclusion on mental toughness, likewise, mental toughness also has an influence on competitive performance. Another finding shows that coaching has no role as a moderator variable in the relationship between self-esteem and mental toughness. However, coaching is able to act as a moderator in the relationship between perceived inclusion and mental toughness.
