Abstract: | Salah satu tugas perkembangan masa remaja yang tersulit adalah penyesuaian sosial . Penyesuaian sosial tersebut dapat menyebabkan stres. Faktor yang mempengaruhi stres pada mahasiswa baru yaitu perbedaan kurikulum, sistem pembelajaran, disiplin, serta hubungan adaptasi dengan dosen maupun mahasiswa lain. Stres yang tidak ditangani dengan baik dapat mempengaruhi kondisi psychological well-being seseorang. Psychological well-being berkaitan erat dengan penerimaan diri, memulai hubungan positif dengan orang lain, memiliki kemandirian, penguasaan lingkungan, pengembangan diri, dan tujuan hidup. Alat ukur menggunakan kuesioner baku psychological well-being dari Ryff dan telah diadaptasi pada penelitian Triwahyuni dan Prasetio (2021). Tujuan: tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan psychological well-being pada mahasiswa baru pendatang dan asli Salatiga angkatan 2021. Metode: penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan komparatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa baru angkatan 2021 yang berasal dari luar Salatiga (perantau) dan asli salatiga berjumlah 390 orang. Kemudian data dianalisis menggunakan uji T Mann-Whitney U (p value 0,483 < 0,05). Hasil: Hasil uji T Mann-Whitney U menunjukan p=value 0,483 < 0,05 artinya tidak terdapat perbedaan psychological well-being pada mahasiswa baru pendatang dan asli Salatiga angkatan 2021. Mayoritas mahasiswa baru pendatang dan asli Salatiga angkatan 2021 memiliki kondisi psychological well-being sedang. Kesimpulan: tidak terdapat perbedaan psychological well-being pada mahasiswa baru pendatang dan asli Salatiga angkatan 2021. One of the most difficult developmental tasks of adolescence is social adjustment. These social adjustments can cause stress. Factors that influence stress on new students are differences in curriculum, learning systems, discipline, and adaptation relationships with lecturers and other students. Stress that is not handled properly can affect a psychological well-being . Psychological well-being is closely related to self-acceptance, initiating positive relationships with others, having independence, environmental mastery, self-development, and life goals. The measuring instrument uses a standard psychological well-being from Ryff and has been adapted in the research of Triwahyuni and Prasetio (2021). Objective: The purpose of this study is to determine the differences in psychological well-being in newcomers and Salatiga native students, batch 2021. Methods: This study uses a quantitative method with a comparative approach. The population in this study were new students from the class of 2021 who came from outside Salatiga (overseas) and originally from Salatiga, totaling 390 people. Then the data were analyzed using the T . test Mann-Whitney U (p value 0.483 < 0.05). Result: T test results Mann-Whitney U shows p=value 0.483 < 0.05, meaning that there is no difference in psychological well-being for new arrivals and Salatiga freshmen in class 2021. The majority of new arrivals and students from Salatiga class 2021 have psychological well-being . Conclusion: there is no difference in psychological well-being in newcomer and native Salatiga students, batch 2021. |
