Abstract: Sebuah pekerjaan atau pun jabatan harus dibebankan kepada seorang karyawan yang berkepribadian ideal agar pekerjaan tersebut dapat selesai dengan memuaskan. Project engineering membutuhkan tanggung jawab yang besar maka para karyawan juga harus memiliki kinerja yang baik. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan adalah kepribadian. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuktikan hubungan antara dimensi kepribadian Big Five Personality dengan kinerja karyawan Project Engineering PT X. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Individual Work Performance Questionaire dan NEO Five Factor Inventory-3. Alat ukur Individual Work Performance Questionaire memiliki nilai reliabilitas 0,842 sedangkan alat ukur NEO Five Factor Inventory-3 memiliki nilai reliabilitas 0,751 untuk dimensi neurocitism, dimensi extroversion memiliki nilai reliabilitas 0,745, openness memiliki nilai reliabilitas 0,816, agreeableness memiliki nilai reliabilitas 0,690, dan conscientiousness memiliki nilai reliabilitas 0,962. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 40 orang yang merupakan Karyawan divisi Project Engineering PT X. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif signifikan antara dimensi kepribadian Big Five Personality dengan kinerja karyawan Project Engineering PT X.
A job or position must be charged to an employee with an ideal personality so that the work can be completed satisfactorily. Project engineering requires great responsibility, so employees must also have good performance. One of the factors affecting the performance of employees is personality. The purpose of this study is to prove the relationship between the personality dimensions of the Big Five Personality and the performance of employees of Project Engineering PT X. The research method used in this study is quantitative research. The measuring instruments used in this study are the Individual Work Performance Questionaire and NEO Five Factor Inventory-3. The Individual Work Performance Questionaire measuring instrument has a reliability value of 0.842 while the NEO Five Factor Inventory-3 measuring instrument has a reliability value of 0.751 for the neurocitism dimension, the extroversion dimension has a reliability value of 0.745, the openness has a reliability value of 0.816, the agreeableness has a reliability value of 0.690, and the conscientiousness has a reliability value of 0.962. The population in this study was 40 people who were employees of the Project Engineering division of PT X. The results of this study showed that there was a significant positive relationship between the personality dimensions of the Big Five Personality and the performance of PT X Project Engineering employees.
