Abstract: Media tanam dapat meningkatkan produktivitas bawang merah karena memiliki sifat fisik ringan, gembur dan subur atau kandungan bahan organik yang tinggi, sehingga memungkinkan pertumbuhan bibit bawang merah yang optimal, tetapi belum diketahui jenis media tanam yang baik untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh berbagai macam media tanam terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah yang terbaik. Penelitian dilaksanakan 13 September hingga 8 Desember 2021 di Greenhouse Sawah Kelompok Tani Makmur Ds. Tanjungsari Kecamatan Jakenan, Kabupaten Pati, Jawa Tengah. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 5 perlakuan yaitu tanah inceptisol (M0), arang sekam padi (M1), batu bata (M2), cocopeat (M3), pasir Muntilan (M4) dan diulang 5 kali. Analisis data menggunakan uji Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) dan uji lanjut Ducan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) dengan selang kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan media tanam berpengaruh nyata. Pada perlakuan M0 memberikan hasil paling maksimal pada parameter berat basah umbi 50,80 gram dan berat kering konsumsi umbi 29,07 gram, perlakuan M4 memberikan hasil paling optimal pada parameter jumlah anakan sebesar 7,93 umbi dan M1 memberikan hasil paling optimal pada jumlah umbi sebesar 5,07 umbi.
Planting media can increase shallot productivity because it has light, friable and fertile physical properties or high organic matter content which allows optimal growth of shallot seedlings, but it is not yet known which type of planting medium is good for increasing shallot growth and yield. plant. The research objective was to determine the effect of various types of growing media on the growth and yield of the best shallot plants. The research was carried out from 13 September to 8 December 2021 at the Makmur Farmer Group Greenhouse Ds. Tanjungsari, Jakenan District, Pati Regency, Central Java. The study used a randomized block design (RBD) with 5 treatments, namely inceptisol soil (M0), rice husk charcoal (M1), bricks (M2), cocopeat (M3), Muntilan sand (M4) and repeated 5 times. Data analysis used the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Ducan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) tests with a 95% confidence interval. The results showed that the planting medium had a significant effect. The M0 treatment gave the most optimal results on the parameters of the tuber wet weight of 50.80 grams and the dry weight of the tubers consumed 29.07 grams, the M4 treatment gave the most optimal results on the parameter of the number of tillers 7.93 tubers and M1 gave the most optimal results on the number of tubers of 5.07 tubers.
