Representasi Anak Korban Perceraian dalam Film "What Maisie Knew"

Abstract

Selama masa pandemi Covid-19, angka perceraian meningkat di Indonesia hal ini menjadi latar belakang dalam penelitian ini, dimana dengan naiknya angka peceraian maka jumlah anak yang menjadi korban dari keluarga yang bercerai juga meningkat, dampak yang dirasakan anak terkadang tidak menjadi sebuah pertimbangan bagi kedua orang tua yang memutuskan untuk bercerai, hal ini sejalan dengan sebuah film berjudul “What Maisie Knew”, sebuah film yang menceritakan sebuah perceraian dari sudut pandang serta hal hal yang dialami orang anak ketika menjadi salah satu korban dari perceraian, rumusan masalah dari penelitian ini bagaimana representasi anak korban perceraian dalam film “What Maisie Knew” dengan menggunakan teori semiotika dari John Fiske, peneliti berusaha mencari kode realitas, kode representasi dan kode idelogi dalam film “What Maisie Knew” terkait bagaimana representasi anak korban percerian didalam film tersebut. Hasil yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah bagaimana anak menyikapi sebuah perceraian yang terjadi dikeluarga, dimana anak merasa bingung serta tidak mendapatkan kasih sayang yang cukup, hal tersebut mempengaruhi keputusan yang diambil anak ketika sedang dihadapkan dengan sebuah pilihan.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the divorce rate increased in Indonesia, this became the background in this study, where with the increase in the divorce rate, the number of children who became victims of divorced families also increased, the impact felt by children was sometimes not a consideration for both. parents who decide to divorce, this is in line with a film called "What Maisie Knew", a film that tells of a divorce from the point of view and the things that children experience when they become one of the victims of divorce, the formulation of the problem from this research how representation of children of divorce victims in the film "What Maisie Knew" by using semiotic theory from John Fiske, researchers are trying to find the code of reality, code of representation and code of ideology in the film "What Maisie Knew" related to how the representation of child victims of divorce in the film. The results obtained from this study are how children respond to a divorce that occurs in the family, where children feel confused and do not get enough love,this affects the decisions children make when they are faced with a choice.
