Abstract: Merancang dan merealisasikan prototipe kandang ayam cerdas untuk masa brooding berbasis Internet of Things (IoT).
Design and realize a prototype of a smart chicken coop for the Internet of Things (IoT) based brooding period. There are still many farmers who use relatively manual techniques, one of which is in the brooding period treatment of DOC chickens aged 1-15 days where to warm the chickens they still use hot media manually using a gas stove as a heating medium. The tool designed has a size of 80cm x 60cm x 65cm (p x l x h) as a medium for the cage, there is also a microcontroller box that contains modules, such as a 20x4 I2C LCD, relays and manual buttons, as well as using sensors in the cage as monitoring temperature and humidity data. , ammonia, high water volume, high feed volume and stress value. On the first day, DOC chickens are 1-2 days old with a weight of 36-42 grams, on the 10th day the chickens have an average weight of 295 grams then there is new wing growth, on the final day of brooding on the 15th day, DOC chickens have an average weight of 385 - 517 grams, then marked by the growth of dense wings and the growth of wattles / combs on the chicken's head. The result of the development of the tool, an intelligent chicken coop for the brooding period with a monitoring and control system based on the internet of Things is going well because it can be monitored and controlled remotely. The final result of the brooding process is very normal and optimal weight of chickens, while manual maintenance requires a lot of energy due to the need for 24-hour monitoring.
