WORK FAMILY CONFLICT DENGAN STRES KERJA DOSEN WANITA YANG SUDAH MENIKAH DI UNIVERSITAS KRISTEN SATYA WACANA

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 menyebabkan beberapa penyesuaian dalam kehidupan manusia, salah satunya dalam sektor pendidikan. Aktivitas pendidikan termasuk di Perguruan Tinggi yaitu belajar dan mengajar dari rumah memunculkan permasalahan baru bagi dosen wanita yang sudah menikah, disebabkan karena dosen wanita dituntut untuk melakukan pekerjaannya sebagai tenaga pendidik dan ibu rumah tangga di waktu dan tempat yang sama. Permasalahan baru yang didapati adalah munculnya konflik di pekerjaan dan keluarga sehingga menimbulkan tekanan dan kecemasan yang mengarah pada stres kerja yang dialami dosen wanita yang sudah menikah. Stres Kerja merupakan perasaan individu yang menyimpang dari fungsi normal di tempat akibat tuntutan yang berkaitan dengan pekerjaan. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara work-family conflict dan stres kerja pada dosen wanita yang sudah menikah. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah dosen wanita yang sudah menikah di Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan alat ukur Job Stress Scale oleh Parker & Decotiis (1984), dan Work-Family Conflict Scale oleh Carlson, Kacmar & Williams (2000). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya hubungan positif signifikan antara work-family conflict dengan stres kerja dengan nilai koefisien korelasi r = 0,411 dan sig sebesar 0,022 (p<0.05). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara work family conflict dengan stres kerja dosen wanita di Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana.

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused several adjustments in human life, one of which is in the education sector. Educational activities including in tertiary institutions, namely learning and teaching from home, raises new problems for married female lecturers, because female lecturers are required to carry out their work as educators and housewives at the same time and place. The new problem that is obtained is the emergence of conflict at work and family, causing pressure and anxiety which results in work stress experienced by married female lecturers. Job stress is an individual's feelings that deviate from normal functioning at work due to demands related to work. The hypothesis put forward in this study is that there is a significant positive relationship between work-family conflict and work stress in married female lecturers. Participants in this study were married female lecturers at Satya Wacana Christian University. The research method used is quantitative by using the Job Stress Scale by Parker & Decotiis (1984), and the Work-Family Conflict Scale by Carlson, Kacmar & Williams (2000). The results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between work-family conflict and work stress with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.411 and a sig of 0.022 (p<0.05). This shows that there is a significant positive relationship between work family conflict and the work stress of female lecturers at Satya Wacana Christian University.
