Abstract: The purpose of this study is to be able to analyze the effect of exports, imports, foreign investment, and the exchange rate on Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves in 1989-2019 either partially or simultaneously. Data collection is done by using secondary data on foreign exchange reserves, exports, imports, foreign investment and exchange rates for a period of 30 years (1989-2019) sourced from the World Bank. Then the results of the data are processed and analyzed with multiple linear regression model with the simple least squares method OLS (Ordinary Least Square) using Eviews. The study found that simultaneously or jointly independent variables can significantly affect reserves. Partially, the export variable shows a positive effect on foreign exchange reserves and the import variable has a negative effect on foreign exchange reserves. While the exchange rate and PMA variables show a negative but not significant effect, this could be due to other factors that can directly affect foreign exchange reserves such as inflation and foreign debt.
