ANTARA HARMONI DAN REKONSILIASI (Studi Kasus Pemisahan Jemaat A dan Jemaat B sebagai Upaya Penyelesaian Konflik di Gereja Jawa)

Abstract

Konflik selalu membawa dampak bagi para pihak yang berkonflik. Berdampak buruk, apabila konflik tidak dapat diselesaikan dengan baik. Dan sebaliknya, apabila konflik dapat diselesaikan dengan baik, justru dapat membangun stabilitas komunal. Menghindar atau menarik diri dari konflik adalah salah satu cara para pihak berkonflik menyelesaikan konflik. Pada konteks masyarakat Jawa, menghindari konflik dilakukan, untuk menjaga keharmonisan hidup bersama, yang dihayati dalam filosofi memayu hayuning bawana. Sekalipun, hal tersebut tidak sepenuhnya bisa menyelesaikan konflik. Seperti yang dialami oleh Jemaat Gereja Jawa A, pascakonflik yang terjadi di tahun 2007, yang menyebabkan sekelompok jemaat bernama B, memisahkan diri dari Gereja Jawa A. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan sejarah konflik, faktor-faktor penyebab pemisahan, dialog-dialog yang diupayakan dalam rangka rekonsiliasi pasca pemisahan, serta menjelaskan kondisi jemaat A dan B pasca pemisahan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan studi kasus. Dari hasil analisis ditemukan bahwa sekalipun telah dilakukan dialog-dialog di antara para pihak yang berkonflik, proses rekonsiliasi konflik berlangsung cukup lama, dan di dalamnya ada banyak dinamika yang mewarnai. Pemisahan jemaat B dari Gereja Jawa A, memang cukup dapat meredam konflik dan menjadi harapan baru bagi kelompok tersebut untuk membangun pelayanan dan kembali berjalan beriringan dengan bersama gereja-gereja se-Sinode Gereja Jawa. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa sekalipun rekonsiliasi otentik belum bisa terwujud, namun bagi jemaat B, pemisahan menjadi mekanisme transformasi konflik dan membantu jemaat B untuk membangun keutuhan jemaat, sehingga pembangunan jemaat pascakonflik berjalan maksimal.

Conflict always has an impact on the conflicting parties. Bad impact, if the conflict can not be resolved properly. And conversely, if the conflict can be resolved properly, it can actually build communal stability. Avoiding or withdrawing from conflict is one of the ways the conflicting parties resolve conflicts. In the context of Javanese society, avoiding conflict is done to maintain harmony in living together, which is internalized in the philosophy of meayu hayuning bawana. Even so, this does not completely resolve the conflict. As experienced by the Jawa A Church Congregation, after the conflict that occurred in 2007, which caused a group of congregations named B, to separate themselves from the Jawa A Church. post-separation reconciliation framework, as well as explaining the condition of congregations A and B after the separation. The method used is a qualitative method with case studies. From the results of the analysis it was found that even though dialogues had been carried out between the conflicting parties, the conflict reconciliation process took quite a long time, and there were many dynamics that colored it. The separation of Congregation B from the Java A Church was indeed enough to reduce conflict and become a new hope for the group to build services and return to walking hand in hand with the churches of the Java Church Synod. It can be concluded that even though authentic reconciliation cannot be realized, for congregation B, separation becomes a mechanism for transforming the conflict and helps congregation B to build the unity of the congregation, so that post-conflict development of the congregation runs optimally.
