Abstract: Karyawan yang memberikan kemampuan terbaiknya dalam bekerja adalah karyawan yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh organisasi. Jika karyawan memberikan kemampuan terbaik dalam bekerja maka akan turut meningkatkan kinerja organisasi. Agar karyawan memberikan kemampuan terbaik yang dimilikinya kepada organisasi, perlu adanya keterikatan (engaged) antara karyawan dan organisasi. Penelitian tentang employee engagement sudah dilakukan oleh beberapa peneliti tetapi masih terdapat inkonsistensi dari hasil penelitian. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana, bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Dukungan Organisasi dan Karakteristik Pekerjaan terhadap Employee Engagement karyawan Satpam. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 35 responden dengan metode pengambilan sampel yaitu saturation sampling. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah Dukungan Organisasi dan Karakteristik Pekerjaan, dengan variabel dependen yaitu employee engagement. Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah regresi berganda, namun sebelumnya didahului uji asumsi klasik seperti normalitas, multikolinearitas, heteroskedastisitas. Berdasarkan analisis regresi diperoleh hasil variabel dukungan organisasi berpengaruh positif terhadap keterikatan karyawan (employee engagement). Sedangkan variabel Karakteristik pekerjaan tidak berpengaruh terhadap keterikatan karyawan (employee engagement).
Employees who provide the best ability to work are employees who are needed by the organization. If employees provide the best ability to work, it will also increase organizational performance. In order for employees to provide the best capabilities they have to the organization, there needs to be an engagement between employees and the organization. Research on employee engagement has been conducted by several researchers but there are still inconsistencies from the results of the study. This research was conducted at Satya Wacana Christian University, aiming to determine the effect of Organizational Support and Job Characteristics on Employee Engagement of Security Guard employees. The number of samples was 35 respondents with the sampling method, namely saturation sampling. The independent variables in this study are Organizational Support and Job Characteristics, with the dependent variable being Employee Engagement. The analysis used in this study is multiple regression, but previously preceded by classic assumption tests such as normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity. Based on the results of statistical calculations, organizational support variables have a positive effect on employee engagement. Otherwise variables Job characteristics do not affect employee engagement.
