Analisis Peran Sex Education Pada Intensi Remaja Melakukan Premarital Sex

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari oleh perilaku premarital sex pada remaja yang menyentuh angka 74% laki-laki dan 59% perempuan dengan rentang usia 15-19 tahun pernah melakukan perilaku premarital sex dan terjadi di usia 17 tahun sebesar 19%. 84% remaja mengaku belum menerima informasi terkait dengan sex education. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran sex education pada remaja yang melakukan premarital sex. Dalam penelitian ini, menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan melibatkan dua partisipan yang berusia 18 tahun dan saat ini sedang bekerja. Dengan digunakannya metode penelitian kualitatif, maka peneliti melakukan wawancara sebanyak dua kali pada partisipan. Dari wawancara tersebut diperoleh informasi bahwa partisipan dan teman partisipan telah melakukan premarital sex. Pasangan partisipan dalam melakukan premarital sex tidak menentu maupun dengan pacarnya. Partisipan melakukan premarital sex sejak SMP dan SMA dengan alasan hawa nafsu, rasa kasih sayang maupun rasa keingintahuan yang tinggi. Partisipan telah menerima sex education dari teman, sekolah, google, penelitian, dan buku. Penekanan sex education terkait dengan penggunaan pengaman, sehingga penerapan sex education hanya sebatas itu. Peran dari pihak terkait dinilai masih sangat kurang terkait penyebaran informasi terkait sex education. Dengan kurangnya peran dari pihak-pihak terkait dan kurang jelasnya topik terkait sex education yang diperoleh, maka pemahaman yang dimiliki oleh remaja pun masih sangat terbatas mengenai penerapan sex education. Dengan kondisi tersebut, maka pihak terkait perlu untuk menyusun informasi sex education yang tepat bagi remaja dan perlu untuk mewadahi diskusi terkait dengan isu seksualitas. Oleh karena itu, peneliti mengharapkan dalam penelitian selanjutnya dapat lebih mendalami peran dari pihak terkait.

ABSTRACT This study based on the prevalence of premarital sexual behavior in adolescents, 74% of men and 59% of women in the age range 15-19 years old had premarital sexual behavior and 19% occurred at the age of 17 years old. 84% of adolescents admitted had not received any information about sex education. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the role of sex education in adolescents who have premarital sex. This study uses qualitative methods involving two participants who are 18 years old and currently working. With the use of qualitative methods, researchers do two interviews with the participants. From these interviews, information has obtained that the participants and their friends had premarital sex. Partner's participants in premarital sex were random or with their couple. Participants had premarital sex since junior high school and senior high school because of lust, affection, and high curiosity. Participants received sex education from friends, school, google, research, and books. The emphasis on sex education about condom use, thus making the application of sex education only about that. The role of related parties is considered very lacking in terms of disseminating information related to sex education. With the lack of roles from related parties and the lack of clarity on topics related to sex education obtained, the understanding by adolescents is still very limited about the application of sex education. In this regard, related parties need to compile appropriate sex education information for adolescents and it is necessary to accommodate discussions related to sexuality issues. Therefore the researcher hopes in future research, the role of related parties can be further explored.
