Abstract: Figurative language and literary works are two things that cannot be separated. Figurative language translation in works is something that is both challenging and interesting to study. This study will discuss the use of similes in the original novel "Anak Semua Bangsa" by Pramoedya Ananta Toer and its translation in the novel "Child of All Nations" by Max Lane. The data was collected through novels in the source and translated versions. Based on this research, there are 32 data similes in the original novel and its translation version. To analyze the simile translation, the researcher uses the simile translation strategy by Pierini. The strategies are literal translation; replacement of the vehicle with a different vehicle; reduction of the simile, if idiomatic, to its sense; Retention of the same vehicle plus explicitation of similarity feature; replacement of the vehicle with a gloss; omission of the simile. Out of the 6 strategies introduced by Pierini, there are 4 strategies used by the translator in translating the similes in the novel.
