Pengaruh Loan to Deposit Ratio Terhadap Return on Asset Bank Umum Indonesia di Era Kehadiran Peer to Peer Lending: Non Performing Loan Sebagai Variabel Moderasi

Abstract

Banks as one of the financial organisations always face risks, especially in the era of P2P lending. This study aims to monitor the LDR and NPL effect on bank ROA before and after the presence of P2P lending in Indonesia. The population of this study uses conventional banks located in Indonesia and listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. Data was processed using Stata version 14. The results showed that 1) LDR has a significant positive effect on ROA of conventional banks in Indonesia; 2) NPL has a significant positive effect on ROA of conventional banks in Indonesia; 3) NPL as a moderating variable significantly weakens LDR on ROA of conventional banks in Indonesia; 4) P2P lending has a significant negative effect on ROA of conventional banks in Indonesia; 5) P2P lending as a moderating variable significantly weakens LDR on ROA of conventional banks in Indonesia; 6) P2P lending as a moderating variable significantly weakens NPL on ROA of conventional banks in Indonesia. liquidity risk shown through LDR has a positive effect on the performance of conventional banks in Indonesia. This study has implications for bank activities that experienced a decrease in ROA before and after the presence of P2P lending in Indonesia. In this condition, banks need to make regulatory choices carefully to maintain ROA. Do not let the increase in LDR can cause tighter liquidity and NPLs to increase.
