Communication is the process of exchanging messages between two or more people to facilitate the interaction process. For all children, communication and interaction are important foundations for learning and development, and children with autism are no exception. Children with autism have a neurological development disorder that impedes the process of interaction, communication, emotion and behavior skills which cannot be cured but can be treated. One of the commonly used therapy methods is visual therapy. Visual therapy can help develop children's communication through pictures, but given the relatively expensive cost of therapy and therapy equipment, it becomes a problem for parents with difficult economic conditions. Therefore, it is necessary to design an interactive multimedia-based motion graphic video that functions as a therapeutic medium for children with autism as well as answering the problems of parents who are economically limited to access therapeutic media. This study used a qualitative method with data collection in the form of interviews with SDLB Talenta Kids Salatiga and parents as well as observations of children with autism accompanied by psychologists from the Sunshine Psychology Center. From the results of the analysis, a design is then carried out that produces interactive multimedia containing learning videos for autistic children. The results of this study are expected to provide answers and solutions for parents and children with autism to be able to interact and communicate in the community. |
