Abstract: Selam bebas (freedive) bergantung pada kemampuan tahan napas (apnea).
free diving depends on the ability to hold your breath (apnea). Apnea is thought to have a correlation with hemoglobin levels. This study aims to study the correlation between hemoglobin levels with apnea ability. The subjects in this study were male students aged 1825 years as many as 20 people with criteria. Measurement of Hb was carried out using the Cyanmethemoglobin method, while the measurement of apnea ability was measured by the length of time holding breath in water. The data that has been obtained is then tested for normality and correlation test using SPSS version 25. This research is expected to be a reference for divers before diving. Based on the results of the Pearson correlation test between the duration of apnea and hemoglobin levels, it has a significant value of 0.234 and for erythrocytes it has a significant value of 0.989 which shows that the correlation between duration of apnea and hemoglobin levels is not significant, with a Pearson correlation value of -0.279, because the value of p> 0 .05 indicates the higher the duration of apnea, the lower the hemoglobin level. The hypothesis states that there is no relationship between apnea duration and hemoglobin and erythrocyte levels
