| Abstract: | PF_RING merupakan library yang bertujuan untuk mengoptimalisasi kinerja dari packet capture. Paper ini membandingkan packet capture pada snort tanpa driver PF_RING dan dengan menggunakan driver PF_RING. Hasil eksperimen menunjukkan bahwa PF_RING dapat mengoptimalkan proses packet capture pada Snort. Dengan menggunakan driver PF_RING pada Snort, penggunaan CPU turun dari 16% menjadi 7%. PF_RING is a library that optimize the performance of packet capture. This paper compares packet capture in Snort and Snort with PF_RING driver. The experimental results show that PF_RING is able to optimize Snort packet capture processing. By using PF_RING driver in Snort, CPU usage dropped from 16% to 7%. |
