Abstract: Dalam dunia pendidikan siswa-siswi diharapkan memiliki kemampuan berbicara didepan umum yang baik namun berbicara di depan umum dapat mengakibatkan kecemasan berbicara di depan umum. Faktor yang perlu dimiliki siswa-siswi saat melakukan berbicara di depan umum yaitu self efficacy yang membantu siswa-siswi dalam menghadapi tekanan seperti kecemasan berbicara di depan umum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self efficacy dan kecemasan berbicara di depan umum pada siswa-siswi SMA Negeri 1 Gabus. Penelitian menggunakan metode analisis data kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional melalui teknik sampling jenuh dan menggunakan alat ukur dengan skala self efficacy berbicara di depan umum dan skala kecemasan berbicara di depan umum serta menggunakan skala likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,596 dengan sig 0,000 (p<0,05), artinya ada hubungan negatif signifikan antara self efficacy dengan kecemasan berbicara di depan umum pada siswa-siswi SMA Negeri 1 Gabus. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa self efficacy memberikan sumbangan efektif terhadap kecemasan berbicara di depan umum yaitu sebesar 35,5%.
In the world of education students are expected to have good public speaking skills but speaking in public can trigger public speaking anxiety. The factor that students need to have when speaking in front of general students is self-efficacy which helps students in dealing with pressures such as anxiety of speaking in public. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and public speaking anxiety in SMA Negeri 1 Gabus students. The research uses quantitative data analysis methods with a correlational design through saturated sampling techniques and uses measuring instruments with public speaking self-efficacy scales and public speaking anxiety scales and uses a Likert scale. The results showed a correlation coefficient of -0.596 with sig 0.000 (p<0.05), meaning that there was a significant negative relationship between self-efficacy and public speaking anxiety in SMA Negeri 1 Gabus students. This indicates that self-efficacy makes an effective contribution to public speaking anxiety, which is 35.5%.
