Abstract: Pandemi COVID-19 menjadi darurat kesehatan masyarakat. Berbagai upaya dilakukan untuk meredam serta mengurangi dampak negatif yang ditimbulkan termasuk pengadaan vaksinasi. Bentuk sosialisasi dengan menggunakan game menjadi salah satu alternatif. Diperlukan sebuah media untuk memasarkan game tersebut agar lebih mudah dikenal oleh masyarakat. Game trailer dipilih sebagai bentuk media untuk mempromosikan game tersebut kepada masyarakat. Media ini dipilih karena lebih menarik dan mampu menjadi media promosi yang cukup efektif dan efisien. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Game trailer yang digunakan yaitu dengan model motion graphic. Motion graphic dipilih karena paling sesuai dengan game connected yang akan dipromosikan. Sebagai bentuk pengujian dari game trailer connected, dilakukan uji hasil kepada animator dan siswa SMA. Penelitian ini menghasilkan data bahwa ternyata game trailer motion graphic visual novel sudah mampu memberikan informasi yang dibutuhkan dan menjadi media promosi yang cukup efektif bahkan untuk anak sekolah sekalipun. Game trailer ini juga mampu menumbuhkan minat dan rasa ingin tahu audience terhadap game connected.
The COVID-19 pandemic has become a public health emergency. Various efforts have been made to dampen and reduce the negative impacts, including the procurement of vaccinations. The form of socialization by using games is an alternative. A media is needed to market the game so that it is more easily recognized by the public. Game trailers were chosen as a form of media to promote the game to the public. This media was chosen because it is more attractive and capable of being a quite effective and efficient promotional medium. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach. The game trailer used is a motion graphic model. Motion graphics were chosen because they are most suitable for the connected game that will be promoted. As a form of testing the game trailer connected, the results were tested on animators and high school students. This research produces data that turns out the motion graphic visual novel trailer game has been able to provide the needed information and become a quite effective promotional media even for school children. This game trailer is also able to grow the audience's interest and curiosity about connected games.
