Perencanaan Strategis Sistem Informasi Menggunakan Metode Porter’s Five Forces (Studi Kasus : CV. Bio Chitosan Indonesia)

Abstract

Competitive strategy plays an important role in increasing the competitive ability of a company. CV Bio Chitosan Indonesia is a company engaged in providing natural fibers formed from shrimp shells or crab shells which have a molecular structure similar to cellulose. The purpose of this study is to improve the ability to compete between CV. Bio Chitosan Indonesia and other Chitosan providers. Porter's Five Forces method is used in this study to achieve this goal. After that, an analysis will be conducted based on the understanding of McFarlan Strategic Grid. The result of this research is that the competitive position of CV Bio Chitosan Indonesia in the industry can be said to be quite high. In addition, this research produces 4 information system planning or information technology, namely Performance Assessment Information System, HR Management Information System, Financial Information System, and Daily Activity Information System. The utilization of Porter's Five Forces method is expected to understand and know the competitive position and be able to keep up with technological developments as well as increase the ability to compete to win the market.

CV. Bio Chitosan Indonesia merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang penyedia serat alami yang terbentuk dari kulit udang ataupun cangkang rajungan yang memiliki struktur molekul serupa dengan selulosa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk melakukan peningkatan terhadap kemampuan bersaing antara CV. Bio Chitosan Indonesia dengan penyedia Chitosan lainnya. Metode Porter’s Five Forces digunakan dalam penelitian ini guna mencapai tujuan tersebut. Setelah itu, akan dilakukan analisis berdasarkan pemahaman McFarlan Strategic Grid. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu mengenai posisi persaingan CV. Bio Chitosan Indonesia pada industri dapat dikatakan cukup tinggi. Selain itu, penelitian ini menghasilkan 4 perencanaan sistem informasi atau teknologi informasi yaitu Sistem Informasi Penilaian Kinerja, Sistem Informasi Pengelolaan SDM, Sistem Informasi Keuangan, dan SI Sistem Informasi Aktivitas Harian. Pemanfaatan metode Porter’s Five Forces ini diharapkan dapat memahami dan mengetahui posisi persaingan serta dapat mengikuti perkembangan teknologi sekaligus dilakukan peningkatan kemampuan bersaing demi memenangkan pasar.
