Gambaran Identitas Diri Remaja Akhir Pada Etnis Jawa dalam Keterlibatan Kegiatan Desa Pringapus Kabupaten Semarang

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain fenomenologi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi terhadap remaja etnis Jawa di desa Pringapus, Kabupaten Semarang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa identitas diri remaja Jawa dipengaruhi oleh faktor budaya, lingkungan keluarga, serta lingkungan sosial. Budaya Jawa memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk identitas mereka, dengan nilai-nilai moral/etis yang mencakup sopan santun, persaudaraan, dan menghargai sesama menjadi bagian integral dari identitas diri mereka. Pandangan remaja terhadap budaya Jawa mencerminkan komitmen mereka untuk mempertahankan warisan budaya mereka di tengah modernisasi. Identitas diri remaja Jawa mencerminkan interaksi kompleks antara faktor-faktor budaya, lingkungan keluarga, dan lingkungan sosial, yang semuanya memainkan peran penting dalam perkembangan mereka selama masa remaja. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang identitas diri remaja Jawa dan menggarisbawahi pentingnya budaya dalam membentuk identitas individu. This research investigates the identity of Javanese teenage individuals in the rich and diverse cultural context of Indonesia. Adolescence is a crucial period in individual development, during which significant changes occur in thinking, attitudes, and productivity. Self-identity plays a central role in this process, and this research aims to understand the depiction of the self-identity of Javanese teenagers, the role of self-identity in their social interactions, and the contributing factors to the formation of their self-identity. This research employs a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. Data was collected through observations, interviews, field notes, and documentation of Javanese teenagers in the village of Pringapus, Semarang Regency. The results of the research indicate that the self-identity of Javanese teenagers is influenced by cultural factors, family environment, and social surroundings. Javanese culture plays a significant role in shaping their identity, with moral and ethical values encompassing courtesy, brotherhood, and respect for others being integral parts of their self-identity. The perspective of teenagers on Javanese culture reflects their commitment to preserving their cultural heritage amidst modernization. The self-identity of Javanese teenagers mirrors the complex interaction between cultural factors, family environment, and social surroundings, all of which play crucial roles in their development during adolescence. This research provides valuable insights into the self-identity of Javanese teenagers and underscores the importance of culture in shaping individual identity.
