Abstract: | Diabetes melitus jika terus dibiarkan tanpa adanya self management akan mengalami komplikasi hingga kematian, oleh karena itu self management perlu dilakukan supaya mengurangi resiko terjadinya komplikasi. kebiasaan merokok dengan self management pada penderita diabetes melitus di Kota Salatiga perlu dilakukan karena selama 3 tahun terakhir ini terjadi kenaikan pada perokok Tujuan: untuk mengetahui hubungan self management pada penderita diabetes melitus tipe II dengan kebiasaan merokok di Kota Salatiga. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan model cross- sectional dengan uji validitas tabulasi silang menggunakan teknik analisis data korelasi bivariat Hasil: Berdasarkan uji chi-square didapatkan nilai p-value self management dengan GDS (0,29 = 0,05), kebiasaan merokok dengan nilai GDS (0,60 = 0,05) sedangkan lama menderita diabetes melitu tipe II dengan GDS (0,02 = 0,05). Kesimpulan: Tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara self management dan kebiasaan merokok dengan nilai GDS, namun ada variabel lain yang berhubungan dengan nilai GDS yaitu lama menderita diabetes melitus tipe II. If diabetes mellitus continues without self-management, it will experience complications and even death, therefore self-management needs to be carried out to reduce the risk of complications. Smoking habits and self-management in diabetes mellitus sufferers in Salatiga City need to be carried out because over the last 3 years there has been an increase in smoking. Objective: to determine the relationship between self-management in type II diabetes mellitus sufferers and smoking habits in Salatiga City. Method: This research is a quantitative research with a cross-sectional model with a cross-tabulation validity test using bivariate correlation data analysis techniquesResults: Based on the chi-square test, the p-value of self management with GDS was (0.29 = 0.05), smoking habit with GDS value of (0.60 = 0.05) while the duration of suffering from type II diabetes mellitus was GDS (0.02 =0.05). Conclusion: There is no significant relationship between self-management and smoking habits and the GDS score, however there are other variables that are related to the GDS score, namely the length of time suffering from type II diabetes mellitus. |
