Produksi Video Feature "Mispersepsi Digitalisasi Aksara Jawa"

Abstract

Indonesia, sebagai negara kesatuan, kaya akan keberagaman budaya, bahasa, dan sistem tulisan yang melekat padanya. Dengan kemajuan zaman, aksara-aksara dari bahasa daerah juga mengalami perubahan melalui pengaruh perkembangan teknologi informasi saat ini. Yang menjadi pusat perhatian penulis dalam pembuatan karya video feature ini adalah masih kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat serta aktivis/penggiat aksara Jawa terkait proses digitalisasi aksara Jawa sehingga proses menuju terdaftarnya aksara Jawa hingga taraf lembaga dunia yaitu ICANN tidak berjalan dengan maksimal. Maka dari itu penulis tertarik untuk membuat media sebagai sarana dalam melurusakan pandangan atau mispersepsi yang terjadi dikalangan aktivis juga masyarakat umum. Dalam proses uji publik, dilakukan evaluasi menggunakan 15 poin validasi yang terbagi dalam empat kategori penilaian. (sangat setuju, setuju, tidak setuju, dan sangat tidak setuju), 31 responden tersebut, penulis memperoleh rata-rata penilaian yang diantaranya 75,2% sangat setuju, 24,5% setuju, dan hanya 0,6% tidak setuju. Dari hasil tersebut, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa pesan dalam video feature “Mispresepsi Digitalisasi Aksara Jawa” dapat disampaikan dan dipahami oleh responden, sehingga video siap untuk diunggah dan disebarluaskan melalui platform YouTube.

As a unitary state, Indonesia is rich in cultural diversity, languages, and writing systems that are inherent to it. With the advancement of time, scripts from regional languages also undergo changes influenced by the development of current information technology. What captured the writer's attention in the creation of this featured video is the insufficient understanding among the public as well as activists and advocates of Javanese script regarding the digitalization process of the Javanese script. This has led to the process towards the registration of the Javanese script with the global institution ICANN not progressing optimally. Therefore, the writer is interested in creating media as a means to correct the views or misperceptions that occur among activists and the general public. In the public testing process, an evaluation is conducted using 15 validation points divided into four assessment categories (strongly agree, agree, disagree, and strongly disagree). From the 31 respondents, the writer obtained an average rating, with 75.2% strongly agreeing, 24.5% agreeing, and only 0.6% disagreeing. From these results, it can be concluded that the message in the video feature "Misperceptions of Javanese Script Digitalization" can be conveyed and understood by respondents. Hence, the video is ready to be uploaded and disseminated through the YouTube platform.
