Strategi Gereja Dalam Menghadapi Konflik Pendirian Rumah Ibadah. Studi Kasus (Konflik Sosial GITJ Dermolo).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan mengenai dinamika konflik dan strategi GITJ Dermolo dalam menghadapi konflik pendirian rumah ibadah. Perubahan bentuk konflik yang terjadi sepanjang tahun 2002-2021 dan strategi penanganan konflik sebagai kunci GITJ Dermolo dalam mengatasi penolakan atas berdirinya gereja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan analisis data terhadap fenomena tersebut. Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah strategi GITJ dalam menghadapi konflik pendirian rumah ibadah ini dilakukan dalam cara yang tidak menimbulkan ketegangan dan tidak menggunakan kekerasan fisik. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh, peneliti menemukan bahwa akar masalah pada konflik ini terletak pada multitasfir SKB 2 menteri tahun 2006 dengan IMB gereja yang sudah ada pada tahun 2002, lalu strategi penanganan konflik sebagai pendekatan gereja untuk mempertahankan eksistensi gereja dalam masyarakat dengan memanfaatkan ruang publik dan civil society untuk mendorong kebebasan beragama dan berdirinya gereja.

This research aims to explain the dynamics of conflict and GITJ Dermolo's strategy in handling conflicts over the establishment of places of worship. Changes in the form of conflict that occurred throughout 2002-2021 and conflict management strategies are the key for GITJ Dermolo in overcoming rejection of the founding of the church. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection methods through interviews and data analysis of this phenomenon. The findings in this research are that GITJ's strategy in dealing with the conflict over the establishment of a place of worship was carried out in a way that did not cause tension and did not use physical violence. The results of the research obtained, researchers found that the root of the problem in this conflict lies in the multitasfir of the SKB 2 ministers in 2006 with the church's IMB which already existed in 2002, then the conflict management strategy as the church's approach to maintaining the existence of the church in society by utilizing public and civil spaces society to encourage religious freedom and the establishment of churches.
