Sporsts are done to maintain and improve health fitness. There are many sports, one of which is soccer, which is a means for someone to develop a hobby. In indonesia, there are SSB facilities so that a coaching team is needed to serve as coaches on the soccer field. Physical inactivity occurs due to age and body shape. In addition, low physical activity causes the emergence of various diseases that will reduce the competence of coaches in mastering theory and practice in the field. This study aims to determine whether or not there is a relationship between physical inactivity and the competence possessed by coaches or coaching staff. Primary data were the results of filling out the GPAQ and competency questionnaires. The study was conducted at SSB Pandawa Salatiga. A total of 8 coaches were analyzed for physical activity level, 3 coaches had low intensity, 1 coach had moderate physical activity, and 4 coaches had high physical activity. Of the 3 coaches, those who had a moderate level of competence were shown at a percentage of 66.7%. There is a relationship between physical inactivity and the competence of the coaching staff of SSB Pandawa indicated by the value of r = 0.995 and significant 0.066. Although there are SSB Pandawa coaches with low physical activity, they still have competence when coaching a soccer team, so it does not affect the level of competence while in the field.
