Abstract: Tujuan dilakukannya kegiatan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui tingkat efektivitas model pembelajaran Discovery Learning ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa kelas 5 SDN Karangduren 02. Jenis penelitian yang dijadikan sebagai acuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian eksperimen semu (Quasi Eksperimental) dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah peserta didik Kelas V SD Gugus Dr. Soetomo yang terletak di wilayah Kecamatan Tengaran. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil berdasarkan teknik Sample Random Sampling, dimana sampel yang digunakan yaitu sebanyak 2 kelas 5A dan 5B dari SD Negeri Karangduren 02. Hasil pengolahan data menggunakan uji T-test menunjukkan jumlah nilai t-h𝑖𝑡𝑢𝑛𝑔 sebesar 3.689 > 𝑡-𝑡𝑎𝑏𝑒𝑙 sebesar 2,024, dengan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Berdasarkan data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, artinya penerapan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning efektif secara signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa kelas 5 SDN Karangduren 02.
The purpose of this research activity is to determine the level of effectiveness of the Discovery Learning learning model in terms of critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of grade 5 students of SDN Karangduren 02. The type of research used as a reference in this study is quasi-experimental research with a Nonequivalent Control Group design. The population used in this study was Class V students of SD Cluster Dr. Soetomo located in the Tengaran District. The samples in this study were taken based on the Sample Random Sampling technique, where the samples used were as many as 2 classes of 5A and 5B from SD Negeri Karangduren 02. The results of data processing using the T-test showed the number of t-count values of 3,689 > t-tables of 2.024 , with Sig. (2-tailed) values of 0.000 < 0.05. Based on these data, it can be concluded that H o is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that the application of the Discovery Learning learning model is significantly effective on critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of grade 5 students of SDN Karangduren 02.
